OUR PHILOSOPHY
We offer a loving and caring Christian environment for your child's first school experience. We encourage parent involvement. We strive to nurture and encourage each child:
* to grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically
* to develop a good self-concept
* to be creative and learn about the world around him or her
All of our sessions offer an excellent foundation in kindergarten readiness skills.
CURRICULUM
We believe early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovering in a structured environment. Our activities include:
* Reading Readiness (pre-reading and pre-writing skills, alphabet recognition with Letter of the Week)
* Math Readiness (recognition of numbers, shapes and simple math)
* Language Development (with Show and Share)
* Literature (daily story time)
* Music (songs and fingerplays)
* Art Projects (daily projects using many different media)
* Social Skills (learning to get along in small and large group situations)
* Listening and Following Directions Skills (both individually and in a group)
* Games (cooperative group games)
* Learning in Faith (simple Bible stories and songs)
* Special Theme Days (throughout the year)
* Birthday Celebration for Jesus in December
* Easter Devotions
* Recognition Day Presentation in May
Since many of our children attend preschool for more than one year, we have developed a rotating curriculum with different themes and activities each year.
